Digital Skills Baseline Assessment Conducted in Arkhangai province

The i-LEAD project completed a 21-day baseline assessment of digital skills in Arkhangai province, making it the first province in Mongolia to conduct such a comprehensive evaluation. The assessment surveyed 987 participants, including provincial and district-level officials and citizen representatives (562 women and 425 men). 

Using an internationally recognized framework, the assessment evaluated hardware access, software proficiency, and digital safety competencies. 

Using an internationally recognized framework, the study evaluated the following competencies in hardware and software use: 

✅Information search, evaluation, and management 

✅Communication and collaboration 

✅Content creation 

✅Safety, well-being, and responsible use 

✅Problem identification and solving 

✅Technology and device use.

Digital Skills Baseline Assessment Shared Nationwide🍁

The Canada-funded i-LEAD project has formally handed over the Digital Skills Baseline Assessment findings to Arkhangai aimag authorities in thelast month. The assessment covered 974 civil servants and CRKh representatives, establishing the first structured, system-level baseline of public sector digital skills in Mongolia. Arkhangai is the first aimag in the country to complete this comprehensive assessment of digital capacity.

Mr. Jamsrandorj, Director of Arkhangai’s Digital Transformation and Services Division, presented the results to Digital Transformation units across all 20 aimags, positioning the findings as a strong evidence base to strengthen the “Digital Arkhangai” programme and drive targeted, demand-led digital skills development. he also stressed that the assessment establishes a scalable model for replication, supporting nationwide e✅fforts to accelerate public sector digital transformation.
