Merit Project Steering Committee Meeting Held

🇲🇳🇨🇦 The Canada–Mongolia Merit Project successfully convened its second Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting on April 24, 2026, bringing together key partners and stakeholders.

The meeting was co-chaired by Jean-Stéphane Couture, Head of Cooperation, Embassy of Canada, and L. Tsedevsuren, Chairwoman of the Civil Service Council of Mongolia. Both reaffirmed the shared commitment of Canada and Mongolia to advancing a professional, ethical, and inclusive civil service in Mongolia, the core objectives of Merit Project.

Jennifer Adams, Director of International Services at Catalyste+, and Altangerel Radnaabazar, Project Director, presented the 2025–2026 Annual Report and 2026-2027 Annual Work Plan, highlighting the project progress, and outlining priorities for strengthening Civil Service Reform in Mongolia.

PSC members engaged in constructive discussion on aligning with national priorities, strengthening inter-agency collaboration, and ensuring capacity-building efforts are sustainable and firmly embedded within institutional systems for long-term continuity and impact.
