Civil Society Representative in Arkhangai Province Advance Their Digital Skills

Funded by the Government of Canada, i-LEAD project organized a Digital Literacy Training & Dialogue on December 19–20, 2025, for civil society organizations (CSOs) in Arkhangai Province.

The training was delivered in partnership with the Regulatory Agency of Government Digital Services, the Department of Digital Transformation and Services, the Arkhangai Governor’s Office, and Intellectual Pool for Women and Youth – EZOS National Network Mongolia.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Sh. Gombodorj, Head of the Public Administration Division of the Governor’s Office, Arkhangai Province, emphasized the importance of digital literacy in strengthening civil society’s voice, participation, and oversight in the era of digital transformation.

Key training topics included: 

  • Civil society in the digital transformation era
  • Citizens’ digital literacy
  • Digital safety, ethics, and personal data protection
  • Skills for accessing e-government services
  • Transparency monitoring through Shilendans.gov.mn
  • Participation in policy-making via digital platforms

During practical exercises, participants used platforms such as D-Parliament and Shilendans to provide feedback on draft laws and monitor local budget spending, engaging in discussions and hands-on activities.

During the event, representatives of the i-LEAD project also met with B. Tserennadmid, Governor of Arkhangai Province, to discuss collaboration on trainings and activities in 2026 aimed at enhancing the digital literacy of public servants and citizens, promoting gender equality, and advancing results-based management in the province.
